In contrast to the predecessors – the system 7000 eTac models – a spatial requirement of the PCB reduced by 42% also enables the production of smaller wrenches, which now cover a measuring range from 1 Nm. This now offers even more application options in small torque ranges.

Electronic torque wrenches with a built-in angle gauge are intended for screw connections that demand very high accuracy – the SmartTAC wrenches excel thanks to a minimum tolerance of ± 1% / ± 1 digit – or a documentation obligation. The special strength of the new wrenches with the HAZET designation “sTAC” particularly show their benefits in the latter case. The Smart technology specially developed for HAZET raises the working and documentation options with the SmartTAC torque wrenches to a new level. A new app and a low-energy bluetooth interface give the user the option of live data exchange with smartphone (smartwatch) or tablet. The new electronic wrenches can now also be connected via USB-C interface with a laptop or PC. The wrench can thus be programmed directly or the saved screwing data can be transmitted to the PC for documentation purposes.

With the new SmartTAC wrenches from HAZET, industrial production also takes the next step towards Industry 4.0 in terms of digitalization and networking.

Many of the company’s products have won the iF Design Award from iF International Forum Design GmbH, as well as the Red Dot design award from Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen e.V. HAZET was voted one of the “TOP 100 most innovative medium-sized companies” in 2011 and 2012 in recognition of its constant innovation and impressive inventive talent. In 2017, HAZET received the “TOP employer” award once again after previously winning it in 2014. In 2016, HAZET won the “Eisen” Innovation Award at the International Hardware Fair (Internationale Eisenwarenmesse) in Cologne, and last but not least the Red Dot design award in 2017 for its VDE torque wrenches.
